Does being open minded mean to let just any old superstitious garbage in there?

"Open-minded" just means that you're willing to look at evidence that might prove you wrong. It's kind of funny, because a lot of religious/supernatural/spiritual believers who call themselves "open-minded" are actually the exact opposite. You can't get less open-minded than "I believe in Jesus and there is not a single thing you will EVER say that will EVER change my mind."
