Should i asked for my job back after i resigned 3 months ago?

I been looking for work and cant find a job, i know they need people and a co-worker said i should ask for my job back. they had let me go and gave me a choice of either resigning or getting fired. they had let me go because i was mouthy to the manager and customers and would come to work inebriated thou my performance at the job was superb. i always filled in for ppl sick or called out. the boss is a tho so i will feel like my pride is being belittled. what should i do?
